Greenwich Spaghetti Supreme for only P49!
Greenwich brings us another awesome treat with their new and improved spaghetti, now aptly dubbed as Spaghetti Supreme!
Wow, I can't believe how big an order is! A plateful of spaghetti noodles is topped with savory-sweet tomato-based sauce with lots of ground beef! It even comes with a Garlic Stix. I tell you it's a complete meal at P49! If I ate it all I wouldn't have been able to try the other food items that were served that evening since it's so filling.
We got a basket of Onion Rings (P25 Regular / P45 Medium / P89 Barkada)... so crunchy, so yummy!
I didn't know that Greenwich had chicken wings on the menu but wow, they actually do! Buffalo Wingman (P119 for 4 pcs / P179 for 6 pcs) is so good it can actually hold its own against buffalo wings from specialty places. The chicken pieces are very meaty and crunchy plus the hot sauce it's coated with is just right in terms of the hotness level. Yum!
Then there was Greenwich 7 Cheese Overload (P349 for thin crust Barkada size). It's topped with mozzarella, blue cheese, cheddar, parmesan, edam, cream cheese and special cheese. It's my daughter's favorite Greenwich pizza and I could taste why. It's too good to resist.
Uniqlo Hello Kitty T-shirts!
When I was in Korea, I bought a few shirts from Uniqlo. Uniqlo is a Japanese chain which sells good quality clothing at reasonable prices. Uniqlo will actually open their first branch in the Philippines this June 2012 at the SM Mall of Asia.
Anyhow, I bought a black shirt and a gray shirt. I also bought a kiddie version of the gray shirt for my daughter. These Hello Kitty shirts are part of Uniqlo's UT Project which was launched in Harajuku back in 2007. UT Project aims to make shirt-shopping convenient by offering a wide variety of colors and designs for all ages and genders. When I was in Korea, there were Hello Kitty, Snoopy, and Disney UT character shirts available for women.
Each Uniqlo UT Hello Kitty shirt costs 24,900 won (around P950). The Disney ones are cheaper at 14,900 won (around P570).
The Uniqlo Hello Kitty shirts feature designs by different artists. My first Uniqlo Hello Kitty shirt was designed by Takehiro Natsuyama, also known as "cookieboy". He turns everyday objects into cookies. I love the way he made Hello Kitty cookies on the shirt. They look 3D when viewed.
Here are some samples of cookieboy's works. So cool! I love it. I wonder how his cookies taste though.

Listerine Natural Green Tea Mouthwash
Listerine introduced a new variant recently -- Listerine Natural Green Tea. It's officially the 9th kind of Listerine mouthwash out in the Philippines.
I actually attended the press launch last April 18. There I found out that Japanese kids who drank green tea after meals had less incidences of cavities compared to those who did not. This is because green tea is a natural source of fluoride (strengthens teeth), catechins (inhibits growth of bacteria), and tannin (prevents plaque build-up).
Goody! The shelf life of this product is 2 years.
Anyhow, according to the instructions, you're supposed to gargle 20ml of Listerine Natural Green Tea Mouthwash. The way to a healthy, cavity-free mouth consists of three steps: brush, floss, and use mouthwash.
I don't keep measuring utensils in my bathroom so I just filled up the cap and gargled.
Dream of Laciun fireworks show at Everland Resort, South Korea (Part 3)
After watching the Moonlight Parade, we waited another half hour for the Dream of Laciun fireworks show at Everland Resort. This is the third and last installment of my Everland series of posts. The show started at 8:40pm so it was even colder weather-wise!
Dream of Laciun is a spectacular water, laser lights, and fireworks show conducted entirely in Korean. It's a tale of good versus evil. There's a skit with several characters as well as a narrator. Although we didn't understand anything they said, the plot was sort of self-explanatory.
We watched how the waters danced and how the flames erupted.
Suddenly there was a gigantic fire-breathing dragon! XD
Then rose a color-changing phoenix from out of the ashes!
Moonlight Parade at Everland, South Korea (Part 2)
As I mentioned in my first Everland Resort post, we stayed until night time so we could watch the Moonlight Parade and the Dream of Laciun fireworks show. The Moonlight Parade started at around 7:30pm.
Since the sun was out and Everland Resort was on a mountain, it was really cold. I estimate it to be around 3-5 degrees Celsius. Still, we got an excellent view of the Moonlight Parade from start to finish because it wasn't crowded.
Lighted floats and performers dressed in lighted costumes passed by us.
It was pretty amazing! I've never watched a theme park parade scot-free, normally I'd have to tiptoe or strain my neck or something.
We were all wowed by the truly awesome sights.

Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara
Long, full, and dark eyelashes seem to be almost every girl's coveted feature... not just here in the Philippines, practically everywhere! Once I was riding the train in Japan I saw a girl who kept on applying mascara all through our short trip. She did succeed in having doll-like eyes in the end so I guess it's all good.
Anyhow, what I have here is one of Lancome's latest products, Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara in Noir Intense (black). This is the travel-sized version which I won in Lancome's recently concluded contest which I will tell you more about later.
Anyhow, I won't bore you with shop talk, I will let the results speak for itself. Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara promises long, thick, and dark doll-like lashes and that is exactly what it delivers. Couldn't help but feel like a real doll after application. :P

The brush has a triangular / conical shape. I also noticed that it's scented.

Jollibee Chickenjoy Avengers Bucket delivery by Iron Man and Captain America!
We got a surprise delivery from Jollibee the other day. It was brought to our house by Iron Man and Captain America!
Yaay! I'm so happy because we were supposed to watch The Avengers on Thursday but something came up. This particular screening takes place on Wednesday (last night) and there were four tickets so hubby and the kids would be able to watch too!
The chicken was delivered hot and fresh! They smelled so good we had an early dinner that day, hehe! It came with lots of gravy too. Surprisingly, my daughter who doesn't eat fried chicken loved it! She actually ate two pieces.
Iron Man and Captain America were carrying buckets of Jollibee Chickenjoy and tickets to a special screening of The Avengers! :D

Everland Resort in South Korea (Part 1)
On our third day in Korea, we set off for Everland Resort, South Korea's ultimate theme park destination. We rode the subway to the bus station and rode a bus for an hour or so up the mountain where Everland is located. I was actually standing the whole time since the bus was full! :p
We arrived around noon so it was time for lunch. We went in the nearest dining hall, Venezia Restaurant. I was surprised to find that it was spacious and nearly empty unlike the overcrowded Disneyland eateries. I guess it's because we went on a weekday. :)
We each ordered a meal set. Hubby and daughter had Shrimp with Hamburg Steak and Rice. It was served with a side salad and a bowl of mushroom soup. It was huge and it cost around P400+.
The first attraction we visited was Pororo 3D Adventure. Pororo is a very popular penguin character in Korea. There are toys, snacks, drinks, and a whole lot of merchandise devoted to Pororo.

Urbanears Medis earphones in Sage
I got a pair of Urbanears Medis earphones for review before the Holy Week. I've been so swamped in blog backlogs and other tasks that it's only now that I got the chance to really experience them.
Unboxing it is pretty exciting because you uncover separate puzzle-like compartments.
I like the simple, square packaging which reminds me of a video game box.
The Urbanears Medis comes in 13 different colors, the pair I'm reviewing is in Sage.
Starbucks Happy Hour 50% off on Frappuccino and summer offerings!
Spent a good part of yesterday evening with friends from Starbucks Philippines. Before I share their latest offerings, let me just say that in celebration of Earth Day, Starbucks will take P20 off the price of your beverage if you bring your own personal cup/mug/tumbler/glass until April 28, 2012. It doesn't have to be a Starbucks container, any kind will do. :)
Then I saw the good news... Starbucks Happy Hour is back! This means you can get your favorite frappuccino drink for 50% off every Monday from 2-6pm. They've extended the hours in order to accommodate more people.
A new drink was introduced -- Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage (P165 Tall / P175 Grande / P185 Venti). Starbucks Frappuccino Roast coffee is blended chocolate cookie bits (I'm guessing they use oreos), rich mocha sauce, vanilla syrup, milk, ice, and then topped with chocolate whipped cream. Yes you read right... chocolate whipped cream! It's so sinful I was glad to taste just the small sampler cup since I am still trying to lose weight. It's really good and not overly sweet. The chocolate whipped cream tastes rich and chocolatey. They have a non-coffee cream-based version called the Chocolate Cookie Crumble.
If you buy a Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage from April 24 to 29, you get a scratch card which entitles you to instant prizes.
Anyhow we started off with a brief coffee-tasting session. We were given the Starbucks Tribute blend paired with Starbucks' chocolate donuts. The coffee was very smooth and rich, you can actually drink it black when paired with a food item that perfectly complements it.

Lancome UV Expert GN-Shield BB Complete SPF 50+++
Yes! After a bit of a pause I'm happy to bring you another BB cream review courtesy of our friends from Lancome Philippines! The BB cream craze started with Asian beauty brands, but now western brands are also starting to come out with their versions of this wonder product. I'm a BB cream addict so this is definitely good news for me!

Harry Potter star Emma Watson is actually endorsing this which is both good and bad. Good because she looks so flawless and what girl wouldn't want that, right? Bad because she's caucasian, possessing a totally different skin type and tone from us Asians. Thus there's only one way to find out if this will work for me! :)
I got Lancome UV Expert GN-Shield BB Complete SPF 50+++ in shade #01 which is considered the universal shade. There is a darker shade available, you will know because it's marked as such in front of the tube. Anyhow, I was surprised because the cream wasn't as light-colored as I expected.
It's actually light beige in terms of color. This is actually what's dubbed by Lancome as the universal shade. It goes on very smoothly and feels very light on the skin, I liked it immediately even if I wasn't finished putting it on my face, haha!

Elmo Magalona for Oishi... O Wow!
I witnessed a most interesting launch last April 18, 2012. Oishi, a brand I'm sure most of us grew up with, unveiled its new campaign and endorser.
Guests were asked to guess who Oishi's new brand ambassador is.
A series of clues were provided, ten to be exact. Each clue was accompanied by a gift ala Oprah's Favorite Things! O for Oishi, O for Oprah. Our first clue was how the mystery endorser enjoys breakfast prepared by his mom. And so we all got an Oishi Bread Pan breakfast set complete with jams from The Fruit Garden! O wow!
One of the clues highlighted his interest in photography, and so we got lots of Oishi Gourmet Picks potato chips along with a woodern picture frame. After ten clues and ten gifts, he was finally introduced to us.
Etude Playhouse Pink Fair 2012 at SM North Edsa!
I went to the Etude Playhouse Pink Fair 2012 held at SM The Block Atrium yesterday. I was curious as to what Etude House had in store and I had to meet my contest winners. If you have tickets to this event and you still haven't gone, this post will give you an idea of what to expect. It's recommended that you be there early as they let people in as early as 1:30pm.
After a long line at registration, I finally made it in. The first thing I noticed was the Tous les Jours booth. Tous les Jours is a Korean bakery chain which unfortunately I was unable to visit in Korea. There are currently two branches in Manila -- SM North Edsa and SM Southmall. Both are not very convenient for me hence I still haven't tried Tous les Jours.
Event attendees were each given a strawberry macaron de paris courtesy of Tous les Jours. We also got Selecta Cornetto Discs, popcorn, and cotton candy.
There are game booths where you can win prizes. Each ticket holder gets one game turn per booth.
There's a total of four different game booths with prizes consisting of product sample sachets, fans, and plastic folders.
