Admit it... most moms are stagemoms at heart. Somewhere along the way, we secretly dream of seeing our beloved child on a billboard, on print, or in a TVC. When my kids were babies I would enthusiastically send in their photos to various baby magazines hoping to see them in the next issue and if luck would have it, win some prizes in the process. If you're like me, then I have good news for you. Now your little one can have his very own Johnson's Baby video. But first, you have to like
Johnson's Baby Philippines on Facebook.
At the
Johnson's Philippines Facebook Page, there's an app called
Baby's First JB Video which lets you showcase your baby's best photos and turn them into a Johnson's Baby video. All you have to do is register and upload your favorite photos.
Registration is easy. Just enter your name, baby's name, and your email address in order to proceed.
You'll be asked to upload a total of five photos consisting of two close-up shots...
...and two full or half body shots.
For the last photo, you will be asked to upload one of you and your child together. The photos I submitted are quite old since my daughter is already 7 years old at present. How quickly time passes! It seems as if it was only yesterday when I gave birth to my daughter... now she's a gradeschooler! Before I know it she'll be a teenager. I miss the times when I had to carry her around, clothe her, and feed her. These days she does everything by herself.
After you choose and upload five photos, the app will process them and transform them into a video. You will be shown a preview of your video afterwards. It's so easy to do that virtually anyone can have her own video without having to use any fancy gadgets. I think it'd be fun for moms to try out. :)
Your video will then be queued for screening and approval before it's uploaded to the Johnson's Baby gallery. You will need to wait at least 24 hours for submissions to appear on the Facebook app's gallery. However, you will receive an email notification when it's approved. You can make and submit your own video any time from Oct. 1, 2012 to Jan. 14, 2013. Users will have the opportunity to rate your video once it is made public in the gallery. The highest rated video for the month will be featured on the
Johnson's Philippines Facebook Page. It's just like having your own Johnson's Baby commercial. :D
Please note that photos should be new (taken at least 12 months prior to the start of the contest date). The video I created is for demonstration purposes only and will not be considered an entry. Non-winning entries are still qualified in following month's tally.
