Last August 23, Dove Philippines gave me the unique opportunity to have my photo taken by one of the most talented female photographers in the country... Pilar Tuason.
There were actually three big names in photography at the event: Pilar Tuason, Joanne Bitangcol, and Sara Black. It was really a win-win situation because one of them would photograph each guest for Dove's real beauty campaign. When my turn came, it was Pilar behind the camera and the photo above was the result. I was wearing a red headband but Pilar asked me to remove it because she thought it would look better. We were also asked to come up with a reason why we thought we were beautiful.
It was really just a simple lunch with the Dove team and media guests at Cafe Romulo in Makati. The main highlight was having these photography goddesses take your photo. I got to keep a framed copy and a digital copy as souvenirs. I forgot my camera that day so all the event photos are courtesy of my partner-in-crime

Sara Black talked a bit about the essence of real beauty. She recently published a book entitled "When I Look in the Mirror" featuring diverse "untouched" photos of real women to celebrate each one's unique and individual beauty. Next time hopefully I'll get the chance to be photographed by her as I really admire her work. :D
We were reunited with Jules, who used to handle Pond's.
Anyhow, Dove wants you to be on its upcoming billboard. Just use Dove Beauty Bar for 7 days and then take a photo showing off your glowing skin.
