Need a break? Watch Sun Shorts!

When you see, read, or hear Sun Life Financial, what comes to mind? Insurance, right? Let's try that again. In cooperation with Star Magic, Cinema One, and Unitel, Sun Life Financial brings us entertainment in the form of Sun Shorts, digital short films you can watch online. Each one is only several minutes long but each minute is packed with creativity, meaning, and an important message.

Sun Shorts by Sun Life Financial
At the moment there are four Sun Shorts available for viewing at http://www.experiencethesun.com.ph.

The Debt
For my first viewing, I watched The Debt starring Janus del Prado, John Arceo, and Joel "Fabo" Fabonan. The film is directed by Nicolo Reyes, who has done award-winning music videos for popular artists and bands. He has also worked on TVCs for brands like Coca Cola, Skycable, Colgate, and Dunkin Donuts just to name a few.

The Debt is a short film about a young man named Mervin who owes a mob boss some money. As mob bosses go, he sends his cohorts to attempt to collect money by roughing up Mervin. Since it's a very short feature, I think it's better that you watch what happens next instead of having me spoil it for you. All I can say is, if someone keeps calling you repeatedly, it must be important! :D

The Debt got me curious as to what the other Sun Shorts had to offer and so I ended up watching all four! The fifth one will premiere on the website this September 19. I think it takes great talent to come up with something short, sweet, and substantial like these films so do try to watch. I promise they're quite entertaining. They all have English subtitles too so virtually anyone can watch.

Have you watched Sun Shorts? What do you think? Log on to http://www.experiencethesun.com.ph for the complete roster of films.
