Crumpler Pleasure Dome S

I tote around a pretty big camera -- a Sony NEX-5N to be exact. It's not as big as a DSLR but it's a lot bigger than your usual point and shoot since it's an interchangeable lens camera. I've been using a Crumpler 2 Million Dollar Home to bring it around.

Anyhow, this isn't about my Sony NEX-5N or my Crumpler 2 Million Dollar Home. I recently had the chance to check out one of Crumpler's new bags, the Crumpler Pleasure Dome S (small) in Navy.

Crumpler Pleasure Dome S
It's a lot smaller than the Crumpler 2 Million Dollar Home I'm using and so my Sony NEX-5N can't fit. This is designed for point and shoot cameras which are too big to store in a handbag but too small for a full-blown camera bag.

It has detachable shoulder straps that goes on and off via this sturdy plastic hook.

If you choose to take off the strap, you can use the handle to carry it.

There's also a velcro strap at the back in case you'd like to use it as a belt bag. You can also use it to fasten the bag somewhere for more versatility.

So this is how it looks when worn. It's good for travelling since it frees up your hands when you sling it over your shoulder.

My next smallest cam is this old Canon Ixus. As you can see, it's too small for the Crumpler Pleasure Dome S. On a more positive note, this means you can store more than just your camera if you're using a regular point and shoot like this one.

A bigger point and shoot cam would be perfect for this bag. There's a side pocket inside where you can store extra memory cards.

As is the case with all Crumpler bags, there's those nifty little details like this cute zipper to make the bag look good.

What I like about Crumpler Pleasure Dome S:

  • It has ample padding inside to effectively cushion your bag so it's okay even if you're on the move and it gets knocked around.
  • It's sturdy and it actually looks cute when worn.
  • It's versatile -- you can sling it over your shoulder, carry it around by the handle, or strap it onto your belt.
  • At P1,650, it's reasonably priced for the quality. That said, it's good for gift-giving.
Downside? My Sony NEX-5N can't fit! :p

The Crumpler Pleasure Dome S is available for P1,650 at all Crumpler stores (Trinoma, Bonifacio High Street, SM Megamall, Robinsons Manila).
