Introducing Pond's Clear Balance + leveled up whitening creams + giveaway!

Pond's unveiled its new Pond's Clear Balance facial wash line and its improved whitening creams in an intimate event at Society Lounge last Oct. 27, 2011.

A myriad of bright colored tubes and sachets greeted me as I took my place. I was excited because truth be told, I find that Pond's has the best facial washes of all the readily available mass market brands here in the Philippines. Whether your skin is oily, dry, combination, or sensitive there's one for everyone.

So what is new with Pond's? First of all the Pond's White Beauty whitening creams have been reformulated to contain 200% more whitening actives. For the same affordable price you now get two times the performance. It's no secret that majority of Filipina women want lighter and fairer skin, but which variant is for you?

• Pond's White Beauty Pinkish White Day Cream (P65 for 20g / P100 for 40g) - This cream gives an instant whitening effect and a matte powder finish. Long term use results in an overall pinkish white glow.

The Pond's team briefed us about the new and improved products. Former Cosmopolitan Philippines editor-in-chief Zo Aguila joins the Pond's Team as Pond's official media consultant.

After the presentation, we were asked to "shop" for the products that we needed. I felt I needed everything the new facial washes had to offer because I have oily skin, large pores, and blackheads! XD

I went in for a skin consultation since the equipment was already set up.

My skin was magnified and well, no surprise that it's all shiny and stuff. The Pond's consultant moved the cam around and pointed out my whiteheads and blackheads. She recommended that I use the anti-bacterial variant but I told her I don't really break out often. She said that any of the new facial washes would be good for me since each addresses a skin condition that I have.

Anyhow, I chose to try the Pond's Clear Balance "Smooth Pores" Pore Tightening Facial Foam first the moment I got home.

It's got a rather thick and creamy consistency. I put it on my palm, added some water, and lathered up. The wash has an icy cooling effect which makes your face feel instantly fresh and clean. It has a very light scent which I like too.

I love the clean, fresh, and cool feeling after washing. My face stays shine-free for a longer time too even if this isn't the mattifying variant. I know that nothing can shrink my large pores permanently but this facial wash does a good job of making my face look more refined. :)
