Kai Vinson, Bobbi Brown's Regional Director for Artistry and Education, graced the event and treated us to a make-up demo using Bobbi Brown's holiday palettes. Kai is based in Hong Kong.
But before anything else he showed us just how good Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF15 is. He put some of the powder in a tall glass of water.
Check out how light the foundation is. The powder stays afloat on top of the water. I was actually able to avail of a small sample and I think it's the best mineral foundation I've used so far.
Anyhow, Kai told us he was doing two holiday looks.

The first is a bare-faced look with striking red lips.

The next look would highlight the eyes using the new palette.
Kai retained everything except the red lipstick which he eventually removed. He applied dark eye shadows on the lids for a smokey and sparkly effect.
The general rule of thumb is to focus on one feature when doing make-up. If you're doing smokey or dramatic eyes, lips should remain low-key by using light and natural shades. Likewise, if you plan on sporting pouty red lips then the eyes must take a backseat. Kai did the two looks in record time. He's really something! :D
So this is the finished look. The red lipstick was replaced with a lighter, more neutral shade. The palette used has sparkly silver, gray, black, and blue eye shadows.
It was a simple celebration with lots of canapes and well... cupcakes. :D
This is the eye shadow palette that Kai Vinson used. Oooh, Bobbi Brown has come out with her own signature fragrance too -- Bobbi's Party!
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF15... I seriously love this product. It's so easy to use when you're in a rush and it's not powdery looking at all. I will review this eventually.
We all left Bobbi personal messages and greetings. We were told that this paper wall will actually be sent over to Bobbi Brown.Check out my experiences with Bobbi Brown products HERE.
Happy anniversary to one of the best beauty brands in the market today! Ooh, here's a bit of good news... did you know that you can actually avail of a 20-minute make-up lesson from Bobbi Brown counters in the Philippines for free? You'll love the products and the look -- I guarantee! :D
