The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes + TBS events for the holiday season!

I went in for a free makeover at The Body Shop SM Megamall last Nov. 12, 2011. It's especially exciting this time of year because they are launching their Winter Trend 2011 make-up collection. It varies per year. Last year the holiday make-up palettes were more on the pastel side.

The Body Shop Winter Trend MakeoverThis year, pastels are out and smoky eyes are in. The Body Shop's make-up artist had me choose between two variations of The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes palette -- Silver Black or Golden Brown. I chose Silver Black. Must be that fixation on Sucker Punch make-up, hahaha. XD

So she used the black palette on my eyes. I like the products used but honestly I think I can do a better job of applying make-up especially on the eyebrows (sssshhh!). :p

The Body Shop 4-Step Smoky Eyes in Silver BlackAnd so I got what I wanted, The Body Shop 4-Step Smoky Eyes in Silver Black. Love the packaging! It costs P1,495.

The Body Shop 4-Step Smoky Eyes in Silver BlackThere's a 4-step instruction panel at the back of the box so you can create the look of the model's eye in front on your own.

The Body Shop 4-Step Smoky Eyes in Silver BlackUnboxing The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes palette reveals three items -- the compact itself which houses the eyeshadows, an eyeshadow brush, and The Body Shop Eye Definer in Black.

The Body Shop Eye Definer in BlackThe Body Shop Eye Definer is a crayon-type khol eyeliner which can create dramatic looks.

The Body Shop eyeshadow brushThis is the eyeshadow brush. You can never have enough of these since using one per color is more convenient hehe.

The pencil and brush fit perfectly into the mirrored compact.

The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes palette in Silver BlackThere are four eyeshadow shades in the palette:
  1. Ice White
  2. Marble Grey
  3. Charcoal Black
  4. Silver Highlighter
Swatches from The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes palette in Silver BlackHere are the swatches. Shade 4, Silver Highlighter, doesn't really have much color as it just adds sparkle and shimmer to your skin.

After applying The Body Shop 4-Step Smoky Eyes in Silver BlackHere's how those colors would actually look when applied on the eyes under the same lighting.

The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes palette in Golden BrownMeanwhile, this is The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes palette in Golden Brown. The one I didn't pick. Ironically, I just realized I need more browns and golds since I have a lot of black, silver, and gray hued make-up already. XD

The Body Shop Candied GingerOh yeah, remember how every Christmas season The Body Shop releases three limited edition variants... specifically Cranberry Joy, Spiced Vanilla, and Jolly Orange? This year, Jolly Orange is replaced by Candied Ginger. It actually smells like cola. Can't wait to try the Candied Ginger Body Scrub because The Body Shop's Body Scrub is probably my all time favorite TBS bath product. It uses real seeds and grains for exfoliation! But I'll tell you more about that in a separate product review post. :D
