This year, pastels are out and smoky eyes are in. The Body Shop's make-up artist had me choose between two variations of The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes palette -- Silver Black or Golden Brown. I chose Silver Black. Must be that fixation on Sucker Punch make-up, hahaha. XD
So she used the black palette on my eyes. I like the products used but honestly I think I can do a better job of applying make-up especially on the eyebrows (sssshhh!). :p
And so I got what I wanted, The Body Shop 4-Step Smoky Eyes in Silver Black. Love the packaging! It costs P1,495.
There's a 4-step instruction panel at the back of the box so you can create the look of the model's eye in front on your own.
Unboxing The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes palette reveals three items -- the compact itself which houses the eyeshadows, an eyeshadow brush, and The Body Shop Eye Definer in Black.
The Body Shop Eye Definer is a crayon-type khol eyeliner which can create dramatic looks.
This is the eyeshadow brush. You can never have enough of these since using one per color is more convenient hehe.
The pencil and brush fit perfectly into the mirrored compact.
There are four eyeshadow shades in the palette:- Ice White
- Marble Grey
- Charcoal Black
- Silver Highlighter
Here are the swatches. Shade 4, Silver Highlighter, doesn't really have much color as it just adds sparkle and shimmer to your skin.
Here's how those colors would actually look when applied on the eyes under the same lighting.
Meanwhile, this is The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eyes palette in Golden Brown. The one I didn't pick. Ironically, I just realized I need more browns and golds since I have a lot of black, silver, and gray hued make-up already. XD
Oh yeah, remember how every Christmas season The Body Shop releases three limited edition variants... specifically Cranberry Joy, Spiced Vanilla, and Jolly Orange? This year, Jolly Orange is replaced by Candied Ginger. It actually smells like cola. Can't wait to try the Candied Ginger Body Scrub because The Body Shop's Body Scrub is probably my all time favorite TBS bath product. It uses real seeds and grains for exfoliation! But I'll tell you more about that in a separate product review post. :DWould you like a FREE Winter Trend makeover from The Body Shop? Drop by the following branches on these dates:
