Last Aug. 3, I attended the launch of SM and Watson's Beauty Within at SM Makati. By beauty within, they are referring to ingestives (supplements you take orally) instead of beauty products you apply topically. The event was hosted by Cheska Litton. They had a dermatologist tell us that basically, you are what you eat... thus if you load up on vitamins and all the good stuff, external manifestations like glowing skin and beautiful hair will follow.Now I've always been iffy about taking in meds of any form, and that includes supplements like Glutathione which seem to be the rage these days. Anyhow, SM and Watson's don't just carry Glutathione pills, they also have slimming herbal teas like Kankunis, health drinks like Wheatgrass, a brand of malunggay capsules (not the breastfeeding kind) which my mom swears by called Moringana, Myra E vitamin E supplements, and skin vitamins like Gloww. Of all those I've mentioned I am only probably willing to try the teas, Moringana, and Myra E (since it's just vitamin E).
Anyhow, the respective brand ambassadors for the brands went onstage to share their testimonials, like Iza Calzado (pictured above left) for Myra E and Maricar Reyes (pictured above right) for MET-Tathione.
Then there was Cristalle Belo Henares (pictured above left) for Belo Nutraceuticals which Regine Velasquez endorses (but Regine wasn't there so the boss herself took over), and Melissa Ricks (pictured above right) for Cosmo Skin Care. Let me just say that Cristalle is so much prettier in person compared to her pictures. She's incredibly svelte, wearing a fitted purple Versace dress and toting around a bright green patent leather Louis Vuitton bag.

And this is the latest in beautification from Belo, Glutathione supplements which are enriched with collagen so you not only get whiter skin, but softer, smoother, and more supple too. But like I said, I'm iffy about taking in stuff like this. What do you think? Would you be willing to try supplements that are formulated to beautify?
