New Starbucks hot lunch sandwiches!

I love sandwiches. If I could have them every meal I would. They're light and just right -- enough to satisfy hunger pangs and yet don't feel too heavy. Thus I was quite excited when Starbucks announced that they were introducing a whole new line of hot lunch sandwiches. All the sandwiches cost P140 each.

Roasted Vegetables on Flat Bread was my immediate favorite. Slices of carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, and onions marinated in Italian dressing and then roasted to flavorful perfection are placed in between two slices of flat bread. The inner surface of the bread is also drizzled with a mild chili dressing for an added zing. This sandwich is vegan, meaning it contains absolutely no animal fat. It's soooo good and I'm not a vegan by any measure.

Ultimate Grilled Cheese is a cheese lover's dream come true. It's filled with slices of Hungarian sausage and get this -- six (6) different types of cheeses! There's Gruyere, Emmental, Feta, Provolone, Mozzarella, and Cheddar! My kids will looove this.

Roasted Chicken Pesto and Shiitake Mushroom on Flat Bread. This is my son's favorite sandwich from the entire roster. Sliced roast chicken breast pieces are tossed with pesto mayo and shiitake mushrooms. There's melted cheese on the grilled flat bread too.

Tuna Melt on Rye Bread is another savory treat. Tuna salad and creamy melted cheese go together on toasted rye bread. It's topped with melted mozzarella cheese too. Yummy!

Tuna Waldorf on Raisin Walnut Bread was a big hit with the group. This time, tuna salad is tossed with apple tidbits, chopped walnuts, and crunchy celery. There's also the divine yogurt may dressing topped with hard-boiled eggs. Chunky, fruity, crunchy, and just about everything a delicious sandwich is made of. :D

The Beef Brisket reminded me of a Reuben Sandwich (traditional corned beef) which I usually have in delis. It's beef brisket slices, caramelized onions, and melted Emmental cheese in between slices of crusty bread spread with Dijon mustard.

The Clubhouse is probably the most filling of the selection. It's stuffed with roast chicken breast, tomato slices, honey ham, cheese, pickle relish, and mixed greens which are generously spread with mayo mustard. All of these are sandwiched in between slices of toasted flat cranberry bread.

Triple Chocolate Chip Brownie Cheesecake is a new dessert that was unveiled after all the sandwiches were introduced. It's so rich, creamy, and divine. It tastes exactly as its name suggests. I took this home and split it into three between myself and my two kids so I won't overindulge, hahaha!

I want to thank our friends from Starbucks Philippines for the personalized Starbucks Tumblers we got to take home too. Haha, the baristas should have no trouble identifying me on my next trip to Starbucks! <3

These sandwiches will be available in all Starbucks locations starting August 8 except Baguio, Boracay, Bacolod, Cebu, CDO, Davao, Iloilo, and Naga.
