I was greeted by bright and naturally lit interiors. I loved the verdant color scheme comprised mostly of greens and blues. Visiting during the daytime would guarantee lovely photos of the food and the place because the lighting is really just perfect. Le Bistro Vert serves dishes that are prepared using mostly organic ingredients. Vegetables and spices used in their salads and sandwiches are grown by Chit herself, free of chemicals and pesticides.
I was able to sample a few dishes that day. Of course since I was by myself the most I could do was take a few bites and then have it wrapped but it was a lovely experience nonetheless. Spanish Fritata (P250, pictured above) was the first dish out. It's kind of like an omelet except that it's shaped like a pancake with potato cubes, chorizo pieces, olives, and pimientos folded in. It's topped with a green salad and served with garlic bread on the side too. Perfect for breakfast along with a cup of hot coffee.
Crusted Tropical Chicken (P250, pictured above) is a big and hearty sandwich that's a meal in itself. Breaded and seasoned chicken breast fillet is served on a thick Ciabatta with zesty mango salsa and kamote (sweet potato) chips on the side. It's really filling and I actually split it in half when I got home to share with my son.
Native Chicken Longganisa (P250, pictured above) was hands down my favorite dish for the day. It's a spicy, creamy, and flavorful pasta dish which also makes use of my two favorite ingredients: sundried tomatoes and kesong puti (goat cheese). It's so so sooo good.
Le Bistro Vert also has a good selection of cakes. Valrhona Sansrival (P195, pictured above) was what I got to try that day. It's very rich and I could tell that no expense was spared in making it but I'm just not really a Sansrival person (with the exception of San Lo's Mango Sansrival). If you are, you will enjoy this immensely.
Nothing makes my day more than a good old-fashioned cup of Cappuccino (P85, pictured above). As expected, it's perfect. No need to add anything, just enjoy it as it is. :)I love Le Bistro Vert. I was apprehensive at first because I heard that parking is a problem. It's located in the middle of a bustling office district in Makati and I was slated to go on a weekday so I was quite panicky. My fears were unfounded though because although parking in front of Le Bistro Vert is limited, there are a lot of parking lots on Valero itself. Some are a bit of a walk from Fraser Place but I don't mind walking so it's not really a problem. :)
