I know Beverly Hills 6750 as the high end aesthetic center that former Ms. Universe Dayanara Torres and several other celebrities are endorsing. I also know it as the establishment that David Bunevacz embezzled company funds from. Anyways, that aside, the place is still in business. It's located on the 11th floor of Ayala 6750 in Makati City.
I set an appointment prior to paying them a visit. I was asked to fill out some forms in their impressive waiting area. Some 15-20 minutes later I was on my way to the treatment room.
Of course I had a before photo taken by my dear neighbor Mrs. Martinez who accompanied me to BH 6750. Hehe. Truth be told I really wanted the diamond peel because my facial skin feels icky from travelling back and forth and changing climates. Although the weather was lovely in Los Angeles it was quite drying. In case you haven't had a Diamond Peel yet, the process entails a vacuum wand with a diamond-particle coated tip which is rubbed all over your face in order to remove dead surface skin.
My hair was pulled back using a headband and the aesthetician immediately got to work by cleansing my face. It's not actually a peel per se, it's basically the same vacuuming and exfoliating session complete with popping sounds that I experienced at House of Obagi some time ago. The service costs P2,000 at Beverly Hills 6750 and lasts for 30-45 minutes depending on how much exfoliation your face needs. I didn't feel any pain or anything. My skin reddens easily and I'm happy to say that it wasn't red anywhere afterwards. Mrs. Martinez swears that my face whitened IMMEDIATELY afterwards. A coat of sunscreen was applied on my face after treatment then I was good to go.
This was the machine used on me. It comes in a metal suitcase. Wow, I didn't know you can actually tote around a whole Diamond Peel kit! Hahaha.
I washed my face as soon as I got home so I could clearly see the results sans the sunscreen. Oh yes I definitely had a whiter face hahaha, I must've had lots and lots of dead surface skin.Okay, normally I don't like having procedures like this done by a non-dermatologist but I took a chance with Beverly Hills 6750 because I was under the impression that their staff are well-trained. So far I haven't heard of any untoward incidents with regards to their treatments. If you ask me though, I will tell you straight out that I still prefer having it done by a dermatologist and next session when I'm paying I would go to an establishment which will give me just that. :p
