California Crunch Cassava Chips come in two flavors: Sour Cream & Onions and Barbecue. They're sold for P44.50 per bag in SM Hypermarket, SM Supermarket, and Gourdo's.
As you can see, a cassava chip is much thicker than your average potato chip. California Crunch's ridged surface makes each chip packed with flavor as the spices get trapped in the grooves, hehe. They are crunchier and more filling too. I actually feel like I am eating something significant as compared to munching on a paper-thin chip.
Barbacue comes off as too spicy initially, but since cassava chips are naturally sweeter than potato chips, spicy + sweet combines into a very interesting and snackworthy flavor sensation. Even my 10-year old son liked it. We'd munch on these while watching videos. :)
Sour Cream and Onions possess a shockingly powerful taste which makes sour cream potato chips seem bland in comparison. My kids quite enjoyed munching on this variant too. Did you know that cassava has twice the fiber and a lot more potassium compared to potato? Try this tasty snack on for size for a healthier alternative. I should also mention that California Crunch Cassava Chips are a lot less greasy compared to potato chips. :D
