For the longest time, I had an Equitable VISA which I was very happy with. It was my official credit card from 1996 to 2009. It actually became BDO VISA somewhere along the way. Then it was stolen along with my whole bag. After I reported it, I received a replacement after a few days. That stolen card had over 40,000 points which I could redeem for rewards. When the statement of my replacement card came, it reflected 0 points. I called to complain, they said they had not yet transferred the points from my old card but assured me that they will soon. Well, months passed and they didn't. When the time came for me to pay the annual fee, I told them to deduct the points equivalent for my card renewal -- something they had been doing for the last several years. They would not do it. So we had a tiff which resulted in them cancelling my card and all of the floating 40,000+ points along with it. Sucks but let's just say that I'm NEVER going to get a BDO credit card ever again.
Ever since I lost my main credit card wherein I was the principal card holder, I've been a supplementary card holder care of my husband. Naturally when I was invited to attend HSBC Red Mastercard's Red Hot Deals launch, I was quite excited. It is after all the credit card that's been toted as for women.
