As soon as I sat down, the server approached me and asked what I wanted to drink. I told her to recommend something and she suggested the Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie (P181, pictured above). I was expecting it to be creamy but it tasted just like fresh lemonade with a hint of strawberry.
Complimentary bread baskets were placed on the tables.
We were all served different kinds of soups. I got the Ci Crema de Broccoli (P140, pictured above) or Cream of Broccoli. It was topped with croutons too. Now if only I could always have Broccoli in such a delicious way. :)
A two-in-one pizza was brought out, half Vegetarian (left side) and half New York Pizza (right side). Vegetarian Pizza is topped with zucchini, eggplant, spinach, and roasted bell peppers. For somethings that's comprised of all greens, it's actually yummy.
This a closer look at Buon Giorno's bestseller, New York Pizza (P295, pictured above). Assorted meats like Hungarian sausages, salami (or pepperoni?) as well as onions and bell peppers top the crisp thin crust.
Everything else was served buffet style. There was Buon Giorno's Special Salad (P218 ala carte) which had fresh mixed greens, tomatoes, carrots, apples, cucumbers, bell peppers, and grapes. I drizzled it with Buon Giorno's famous Marlinjo (from the names of owners Mark, Linda, and Jo Floro) dressing, a creamy raspberry vinaigrette homemade using their very own special recipe. It was divine. I'd have this as a meal 3x a day if I could, I'd probably lose weight too. :p
Pescatore Alla Putanesca (P308 ala carte) is linguini in peppery tomato-based sauce with lots of slightly spicy seafood.
Canneloni Spinaci (P294 ala carte) is spinach pasta filled with meat then topped with cheese and tomato sauce.
The highlight of the night and everyone's unanimous favorite was the Beef Wagyu with Shitake Mushroom Gravy at the carving station. You could side it with fresh veggies and mashed potatoes too. I don't know how much it would normally cost unfortunately as it was not indicated in the menu.
The beef was incredibly melt-in-your-mouth soft and tender. It was lined with fat but that actually made it more tasty. I've never been fond of eating fat so so I trimmed the fat off my beef slices. But wow, that was really some kind of beef. Delicious!
I was so full after all the sumptuous food so I just had a bite of one dessert from the four that was served -- Apple Strudel (P168, pictured above). Light and flaky pastry filled with chopped apples and cinnamon served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. A lovely way to end a feast I must say. :)Buon Giorno Caffe and Bistro
