I love the classy hot pink and silver gray Christmas packaging.
The pretty box contained some Almond Toffee Bark (P195 for 200g, pictured above). Crunchy almond toffee brittle is coated with chocolate and bits of shaved almonds. Nice to nibble on with a hot cup of coffee or tea after a meal while chatting with some friends. :)
This was a surprise. I already have preconceived expectations when it comes to fruitcake since they're like you've tasted one, you've tasted them all. I was blown away by Delifrance's Premium English Fruitcake. It's incredibly moist and chewy. It's not overly sweet or overly spiked either. It's hands down the best fruitcake I've had in years. Wow, I wouldn't mind having more of this.
Meanwhile, French Espresso Fruitcake (pictured above) is like a cross between a really fudgy brownie, coffee, and fruitcake. Needless to say it's rich, moist, and chewy! Absolutely sinful.Prices for the fruitcakes are as follows:
- Petite - P130 (those triangular sizes I sampled)
- Solo - P260
- Duo - P515
- Deluxe - P780 (1.5 lbs)
- Grand - P1,760 (3.5 lbs)
...and then there are cookies! There's Dark Chocolate Mint, Mocha Macadamia, Dark Chocolate Pistachio, and Coffee Cinnamon. The cookies are all exceptionally soft and chewy, so much so that they have to be handled with care so they don't fall apart. I liked the Dark Chocolate Mint best.
My daughter loved them too. Her front teeth just fell out so she can't bite properly, thus the soft cookies were perfect for her! She told me her fave is Dark Chocolate Pistachio. :)Prices for the cookies are as follows:
- Dark Chocolate Mints (8 pcs) - P100
- Coffee Cinnamon (8 pcs) - P100
- Dark Chocolate Pistachio (8 pcs) - P170
- Mocha Macadamia (8 pcs) - P185
