The event was hosted by Star Magic talent Juddha Paolo, who was of course, also decked out in Blued apparel.
The Blued Project is a campaign that challenges college students to come up with the ultimate fashion design and marketing campaign for the brand. This is very apt since Blued was born out of a college thesis at the Ateneo de Manila University almost two decades ago (hence the name Blued, based on our school color). I still remember Blued clothing being sold on campus as I was still studying there at the time.
Blued has come a long way since those days when it only carried shirts, sportshirts, and windbreakers. The full outfit above is part of Blued's current collection. They now have leggings and dressy tops for more fashion options.
The students come from different universities. Their backgrounds are as diverse as can be. There are artists, jocks, brains... The Blued Project is open to ALL college students, you don't have to be studying design, art, or marketing to participate.
I was surprised to see that Blued has capris now. Shirts, sportshirts, and windbreakers are what have always characterized the brand when I was still in the Ateneo. Good to see that it's evolving with the times. :)
The event was short and sweet. I was told that the winner of The Blued Project would get an internship at Blued Clothing and would have his/her collection launched for a season, aside from a shopping spree at Blued. I had a brief photo op with Juddha before I proceeded to visit Blued's Glorietta 5 store.
While Blued's flagship store is located in Trinoma, they have this quaint outlet on the second floor of Glorietta 5.Like this post? Subscribe to this blog by clicking HERE.
