I always find something worthwhile every year that I visit the Skycable Vanity Fair. In the first year, Luxasia had a 50% off sale on Shiseido products and a whole cache of perfumes. In the second year, Origins had an everything-must-go clearance sale on all its remaining products since it was pulling out of the Philippines. You can check out my haul here. This year, I discovered Eyliplex-2. Yes, I am obsessed with eye cream since I sleep late a lot of the time.
Eyliplex-2 is an eye cream that comes in two separate formulations -- one for daytime use and another one for nighttime use. Since it was about 12 noon when I got to the event, GoodSkin Labs' Caren suggested that I give the daytime formula a trial run.
Karen gently dabbed the product around my area and patted it. It was quite moist at first, then it gradually absorbed and I felt a cool tightening sensation around my eyes. I walked around the venue right after she applied the Eyliplex-2 and did not get a chance to take another photo, so I can only describe how it felt. You can purchase Eyliplex-2 at Watson's for P2,600. It's reasonable since you basically get two vials. I normally spend around US$50 to US$60 for imported eye creams so this is pretty standard. I hope I can get around to really trying this product. I still have a lot lined up, and I'm currently on Pond's Gold Radiance's eye cream.
Patricia Bermudez-Hizon hosted the event (hmmm, I seem to be seeing a lot of her lately). There were some games with prizes from the sponsors where I managed to win a bottle of The Body Shop's Love fragrance. Oh I also got a bunch of beauty products EZ Shop Philippines simply by walking in front of their booth. Yes, I kid you not. I was just walking minding my own business when the EZ Shop girls approached me and asked if I had a ticket which of course I did -- or else I would not be able to enter. Upon seeing my ticket they immediately handed me a gift pack full of beauty products, which included a Luxe 360° Spin Extension mascara from Japan and then asked me to have my photo taken holding the prize. Ooookay. When my friend approached the same booth they just gave her a sample pack for a face mask.
There were booths where you could avail of beauty services too, like nail care and spa services...

...and even hair care.
It's too bad I could only stay for a couple of hours. I was able to meet up and chat a little with The Body Shop ladies at their makeover area though.
Till next year at the Skycable Vanity Fair 4... I hope! :D
