Red Ribbon unveils Choco Fudge Cake

I was invited to witness another milestone for Red Ribbon with the launching of its Choco Fudge Cake last Sept. 23, 2010.

Choco Fudge Cake at Red RibbonUnfortunately for me, I got stuck in C5 traffic for more than an hour so I wasn't able to catch Sous Chef Sherrie Tan's talk about dessert as comfort food.

a slice of Red Ribbon Choco Fudge CakeWe were all treated to a slice of Red Ribbon's latest creation. It was purposely served warm at room temperature so that guests could better savor its chocolate goodness.

A bite of Choco Fudge Cake by Red RibbonLiving up to its name, it was indeed very moist and fudgy. That night though, I wasn't overly impressed by the chocolate. I felt that it was not rich and it lacked depth. The weird thing is, I ate a slice at home after I refrigerated the cake and it was a lot better in terms of taste and texture. But then it was not the same cake exactly so it's also possible that I got served a less-than-perfect slice at the event.

Red Ribbon Hot Brews CappuccinoOf course, I couldn't have cake without my favorite Red Ribbon Hot Brews Cappuccino. It's a real deal for only P45 per cup. It's so smooth and frothy, it even comes with some cinnamon powder on top. It's perfect as is too, no need for sweeteners. :D

Red Ribbon Choco Fudge Cake costs a reasonable P495 for the regular size and P295 for the junior size.
