Melting into my dream world with Haagen Dazs Caramel Biscuit & Cream

Today is my birthday. That's right. 10/10/10.

Today marks the end of my youth, or so I've been told since I'm officially over the hill at 36. This isn't supposed to be my birthday post but since it's the very last hour of the Haagen Dazs contest it will have to be. :p

This is the part where I'm supposed to narrate about my busy day. Hmmm... let's see now. I wake up at 5:30am daily because I take my kids to school. I go to the office at 8am because that's the time we open for business. Apart from work, I'm also a freelance writer for several magazines and so I also squeeze in interviews, shoots, and actual writing in between tutoring the kids, attending media events, doing errands like grocery shopping and paying bills, and working. Sleep is a thing of the past because I usually end up sleeping at 12 midnight onwards, in fact I actually feel that I have not slept in a year.

Haagen Dazs Caramel Biscuit Ice CreamMy mind is so cluttered with stuff to do that I've begun to have imaginary friends. Thus, as I was going around the Mega Atrium at SM Megamall, my imaginary friend Bloo-Bloo told me to go get myself a pint of Haagen Dazs Caramel Biscuit & Cream. I've always loved caramel ever since I was a little girl and so it really did not take much for Bloo-Bloo to convince me.

And so I had the nice lady at Haagen Dazs hand pack a pint of Caramel Biscuit & Cream for me to take home -- that was the only way I could do it because they didn't have it in ready pints. It certainly smelled yummy, and I could already imagine the rich, chewy caramel and crunchy biscuits that would fill every spoonful.

A spoonful of Haagen Dazs Caramel Biscuit Ice CreamI took quite some time shooting the ice cream since no one was around (except Bloo-Bloo who's useless since he's imaginary) to help me hold the spoon and all. Good thing Haagen Dazs is slow melting. After getting a good shot, I finally put a spoonful of Caramel Biscuit & Cream in my mouth.

Haagen Dazs Slow Melting in ProgressMmmm... it was heavenly, as I expected. Each smooth, rich, and creamy spoonful tasted of delicious vanilla, sweet caramel, and crunchy biscuit. I was transported into a fantasy world the moment I had a mouthful. It was just so... comforting. I can just sit in a corner and close my eyes with this and I'd be in a faraway fantasy world with no deadlines, errands, and chores... just me and my little pint of heaven.

Do not disturb. Slow melting in progress.
