L'oreal Paris Philippines Black and White Event

I've had a fascination for make-up and beauty products ever since I was a kid. I remember my aunt's dresser which had piles and piles of cosmetics. My childhood friend Jeo (she's a girl) and I would play around with them when auntie wasn't around -- painting our faces and having a good laugh afterwards.

Imagine the thrill of exploring the L'oreal Philippines HQ for the first time last October 11, 2010. Yeah, this is an insanely late post, but I just had to tell you all about my life-changing hair experience with L'oreal Total Repair 5 first. All the hair, make-up, and skin care products that L'oreal is currently carrying were all lined up in this wonderful room.

I loved the quaint table settings. It was a small, intimate event and L'oreal really went out of its way to make it a memorable one.

First to be introduced was the L'oreal Perfect White Rosy Day Cream SPF 17. I can't live without sun protection and so it was quite exciting for me. The product promises fairer and rosier complexion thanks to Melanin-Vanish and Tourmaline Gemstone. Hmmm... that would be kind of hard to measure in my case because I've been told by make-up artists time and again that my complexion is already fair with a pinkish cast. Nevertheless I'm lining it up for a product review. :)

Then came L'oreal Men Expert Pure & Matte Bright Charcoal Black Foam. It's especially formulated for men. I asked the L'oreal folks if I could use it and they said they don't advise because men's skin naturally produces more oil to facilitate beard growth and so this will probably dry up my face too much.

After the product presentations we had some fun games like Pinoy Henyo L'oreal Edition and Jeopardy L'oreal Edition. Our team won both times. I got branded as a skin care nerd. And all's well that ends well. Hahahaha... well, it's just that I am very concerned about my skin so I read up and research a lot. At my age, I have to be! Grabbed the above group photo with the L'oreal guys from my neighbor Mrs. Martinez. We also had some snacks at the pantry (that looks like a cafe) after.

Product reviews to follow! I told hubby to lay off my Pond's Pure White Deep Cleansing Foam and use the L'oreal Men Expert Pure & Matte Bright Charcoal Black Foam instead.
