Havaianas Design a Smile is series of on-the-spot flipflop design contests running in Ayala Malls from Oct. 16 to Nov. 14, 2010. The contest is open to kids from 5-12 years old.
All designs will be based on the theme "What makes you smile?". Kids will be given entry forms with the outline of a Havaianas sole. Using the available drawing and coloring materials on site, they will draw the things that make them happy within the sole outline (see sample entry forms above). There is no purchase necessary to join.
The Havaianas Design a Smile Contest schedule is as follows:- Oct 16, 2010 - Activity Center, Alabang Town Center
- Oct. 17, 2010 - Level 4 exhibit area, TriNoMa Mall
- Oct. 23, 2010 - The Gallery, Greenbelt 5
- Oct. 24, 2010 - Left Wing G/F, Glorietta 4
- Oct. 30, 2010 - Activity Pod 3, Bonifacio High Street

Ten (10) finalists will receive prizes from Havaianas, KidSports, and Orange Juice. The top three designs as decided by the public through text voting will receive Havaianas products, a creativity workshop from My Masterpiece, and gifts from Polaroid, Faber-Castell, KidSports, and Orange Juice.
The winning entry will be produced by Havaianas in a future collection and will be sold nationwide for the benefit of Operation Smile.
Operation Smile is a private, non-profit volunteer medical services organization and worldwide children's medical charity that provides reconstructive surgery and related health care for indigent children and young adults. Cleft lip, cleft palate, and other childhood facial deformities are repaired by medical volunteers.
My daughter was able to take home her first ever pair of Havaianas from the event. She got a pink pair that's very very cute. She loves it!
