It nice to hold because it's not too thick or too thin. It costs a very reasonable P369.
I have it in silver. You twist the body to make more of the pencil come out.
It's very easy to put on -- it's just like using a crayon to work on a coloring book. It's very smooth so it glides on your lids easily. This shimmery shade gives a beautiful bluish tint.
There's an immediate dramatic effect on the eyes just by sweeping it across the lids a few times.
To complete the look, just line your upper lashline with some eyeliner. I used Kanebo Tiffa Gradation Liner in black here. I don't know if it's available in the Philippines since I got it from Japan.
Kanebo Tiffa Gradation Liner is not your usual eyeliner because it doesn't come in pencil form. It comes in powder form, just like traditional eyeshadow. A two-headed applicator is included too. I got it in Black & Gray. It's actually perfect for a smoky eye, but that'd be another post. :)
This is the end result of my quick eye trick with Maybelline Impact Express Smooth Pencil Shadow and Kanebo Tiffa Gradation Liner. I love how easy it is to achieve a party look with these two products. Mascara is optional since the liner already gives an eye-opening effect and the illusion of thicker lashes. I just cap it off with Elianto Matte Berry Lipstick in Shade 05.Okay, here's the bad news. Maybelline Impact Express Smooth Pencil Shadow is already phased out. It's been around since 2008. I was advised to try Maybelline Eye Studio 2-in-1 Impact Shadow Liners which supposedly have a similar texture to this but with a thinner pencil. I have half a mind to troop to the nearest Maybelline counter and attempt to hoard the remaining stocks (if any) of this wonderful product. :p
