Intel Philippines gave us a crash course on choosing the right PC last June 25, 2010 at Sala Bistro. It all happened over a sumptuous lunch (which I will talk about in another post). We went through the basics: CPU, graphics, memory, hard drive... it doesn't take an expert to know that the higher the specifications, the better the performance. Of course, that also equates to a more expensive computer.

They explained that the new 2010 Intel Core Processors do a lot of things that others don't. For one thing, they have Turbo Boost technology which automatically overclocks the CPU when you need the extra speed. There's also hyperthreading, which lets you multi-task with ease.
Computers equipped with Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors were compared side-by-side so we could get a more accurate gauge of their performance. The Core i3 and i5 are suited for more casual users while the Core i7 is geared for hardcore gamers who need extreme power and performance.
Intel promises to tackle the Hourglass Syndrome head on with these new processors -- no more waiting, no more wasting. :)Like this post? Subscribe to this blog by clicking HERE.
