Canon Green Nation is a sustainable environmental program that focuses on the proper disposal of ink cartridges and toners. Canon Selphy and PIXMA users can simply drop their empty cartridges in recycling bins (pictured above) placed in Canon concept stores in malls. Winners of the Ms. Philippines Earth pageant are the ambassadors for this campaign.Proper disposal of used ink cartridges can reduce landfill since the metal and plastic components can be recycled.
Apart from the recycling program, Canon Green Nation has a lot more in store for its citizens --tree planting activities, photography classes, and mall roadshows are but a few of examples of activities that are on the drawing board.Hopefully, more companies will adapt this kind of proactive stance when it comes to taking care of our environment. :)
