Neutrogena Fine Fairness line now in the Philippines!

Neutrogena launched its complete Fine Fairness skincare line during a press luncheon held last June 23, 2010.

Dr. Lorna Frez of the Philippine Dermatological SocietyKicking off the event was a talk by Dr. Lorna Frez of the Philippine Dermatological Society. She explained all about skin color. Basically, the more melanin (melanin is a protective pigment which absorbs harmful UV rays) your skin has and produces, the darker your skin tone is. Asians have more eumelanin (a type of melanin) compared to caucasians, hence we also tend to have darker skin.

Neutrogena Fine Fairness skincare line unveiledNeutrogena unveiled its Fine Fairness skincare line which is comprised of four products.

Neutrogena Fine Fairness productsNeutrogena's Fine Fairness skincare line consists of a cleanser, toner, lotion with SPF 30, and night cream. It is recommended that one uses all the products together for best results.

Neutrogena Fine Fairness products are unique because they use a combination of natural ingredients to help women achieve fair skin. By fair, Neutrogena does not only mean light in color. The fairness Neutrogena advocates is clear, translucent, and light-colored skin. Essential Soy, Stabilized Vitamin C, Vitamin B3, and Portulaca Extract all work together to even out skin tone, protect skin from the sun, and renew the cells.

"Fair, radiant skin is achieved through Neutrogena's eight-dimensional approach to fine fairness -- Protect, Shield, Lighten, Renew, Block, Calm, Prevent, and Restore," explains Neutrogena brand manager Gabby Roxas.

Neutrogena Fine Fairness Lotion SPF 30The products were passed around for guests to sample and experience on-the-spot. Given my penchant for sunscreens and similar products, I immediately reached for the Neutrogena Fine Fairness Lotion SPF 30.

A drop of Neutrogena Fine Fairness Lotion SPF 30The lotion had a very light and almost water-like texture, albeit it is still slightly thicker than L'Occitane Immortelle Very Precious Fluid SPF40. It absorbs easily when rubbed on the skin. It's about 1/4 of L'Occitane's price though so I think this is a very good alternative to the former. :p

Neutrogena Fine Fairness CreamSince I could not really try out the cleanser and toner, I got the jar of Neutrogena Fine Fairness Cream next.

Neutrogena Fine Fairness CreamThe cream is rich and light at the same time -- I didn't really think that was possible. It also absorbs quickly so I can pretty much imagine how nice it'd feel nice on my face at night.

We were told that we'd need to use the products as a complete skincare regimen for at least 8 weeks for visible results. I intend to give it a run starting July so I can better monitor the effects. I'll be sure to post about my experience. :D
