It came as a total surprise when I found out that Abenson owns Electroworld. I was invited to an intimate blogger gathering at Abenson Park Square last May 20, 2010. We got acquainted with the latest gadgets from Sony, Dell, HP, Toshiba, and Olympus among many others.Toshiba showcased its first ever touch screen laptop. I'm not a big fan of touch screen computers since I hate getting fingerprints all over the screen. :p
Dell showed us its snazzy Alienware gaming laptop. Up there is the Alienware Phantom M11x. It's the size of a typical netbook with its 11.6" display, but the specs are really something else. Intel Core 2 Duo Processor SU7300 (1.3GHz; 800MHz), 4GB RAM, 500GB HD... it's even equipped with an Nvidia GeForceGT 335M. I'm impressed. It's pretty pricey at P77,999 though.
HP demonstrated the HP Touchsmart300 PC. It looks like an LCD TV, but it's actually a big touch screen computer. It comes with a wireless keyboard that's not pictured here. It's actually quite fun to use. You can even watch cable TV and play video games with it.
Sony let us play around with the Bloggie, a handy dandy recording tool with a revolutionary 360° video feature. It has a built-in USB connector so you can upload photos and videos that you capture instantly. No more wires! :D
Meanwhile, Olympus unveiled its digital cameras' unique photo editing capabilities. Having an Olympus digicam is like having Adobe Photoshop at your fingertips. You can create all sorts of art effects without having to connect to a computer. For the latest gadgets and great deals, log on to http://www.electroworld.com.ph/ and find an Electroworld outlet near you. :D
