Fun and affordable beauty by Elianto

Elianto Philippines invited six beauty and lifestyle bloggers (me included!) last April 28, 2010 for an intimate get-together. Our little gathering involved beauty talk over dinner and a tour of Elianto's boutique at SM The Block.

Elianto Boutique at SM The BlockWe were abuzz with excitement as we approached the bright, fresh, and inviting Elianto boutique. Elianto is a brand of skin care, cosmetics, and make-up products from Malaysia. It used to be endorsed by Vanessa Chong, one half of the two-girl team from Malaysia in Amazing Race Asia.

Vanessa Chong for EliantoAlas, I can't find any more photos of Vanessa's old Elianto ads so I had to settle for the above from Inquirer.net. Anyhow, Elianto is the Italian word for "sunflower". It represents the unique world of beauty comprised of affordable high quality cosmetic products. Although Elianto started out in 2005, it was July 2006 when it opened its first Philippine outlet at the SM Mall of Asia. Elianto products are made in Korea and Italy.

Elianto eyeshadows galoreWe felt like kids in a candy store when we finally went inside the Elianto boutique at SM The Block. A myriad of eyeshadow colors greeted me, there was even a fire engine red shadow which I found pretty unique...

Elianto Cream ConcealerAn item that instantly caught my eye was the Cream Concealer (P399). It won in Cosmopolitan Philippines Magazine's Beauty Awards in 2009. According to make-up artist Olivia Dee-Montenegro, it's very creamy so it conceals flaws and blends very easily. Since there are only two shades I grabbed the lighter one.

Elianto Brightening Eye Zone Treatment PatchAnother interesting find is the Elianto Brightening Eye Zone Treatment Patch (P169 per pack, contains 12 pairs of patches). Since I am a night owl, I have dark undereye circles. I need these patches to lighten them. Needless to say I dropped a pack in my shopping basket.

Elianto Matte Berry lipsticksElianto's new line of lipsticks, the Vitamin E-enriched Matte Berry (P359 each), is also a must-have. It comes in five berry-inspired shades. It glides on smooth, provides incredible color and coverage, yet finishes incredibly matte. I love how light it feels on my lips. I got the darkest shade which is 05 Tawny Berry. It looks almost brown on the tester tube but its actually very natural-looking once it goes on my lips.

Elianto cosmetics for me!To complete my beauty haul for the night I also got Elianto Touch On Blush in Tea Rose (P499) and Elianto Frosted Liquid Liner in Dusty Blue (P150).

Elianto bloggers unite!Thank you Elianto Philippines for a fun night! The six of us had a whole lot of fun. It took a lot of willpower for me not to keep dropping stuff in my basket since there are way too many fab beauty finds!

Dear readers, you too will have a chance to haul in some beauty stuff from Elianto! I am currently working on the contest mechanics since Elianto Philippines wants to share their fabulous products with you. :D
