Lunch out at Ristras Mexican Grill

I had my first taste of Ristras Mexican Grill last week, when hubby and I dropped by for an impromptu lunch.

Inside Ristras Mexican GrillI had no idea how to proceed. It turns out that first I have to choose what I want to have -- Burrito, Fajita Burrito, Naked Burrito, Chimichanga, Quesadilla, Salad, Taco, or Taco Truck Taco. The price of the dish will be determined by which type of meat you choose to fill it with. Sensing my confusion, the staff suggested that I try the Quesadilla since it's their bestseller along with the Burrito. Quesadilla it was, I picked Steak / Carne Asada for my filling and it cost P340.

Quesadilla with Steak at Ristras Mexican GrillQuite frankly I was taken aback by the P340 price tag for a single order of Quesadilla with Steak. I understood why when my order came. It was huge, there was no way I could finish it all by myself. It was generously topped with tomato salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and chives.

Steak Quesadilla at Ristras Mexican GrillRistras' Quesadilla was literally bursting at the seams with filling. Flour tortilla, cheese, corn salsa, pico de gallo, sauteed peppers and onions plus cubes of steak made up my dish. It was freshly made and served hot. I loved that it tasted all natural. I had two of the four slices, hubby had the other two. It was filling, and I felt overwhelmed by the cheese towards the end. Perhaps next time I'll try the Burrito.

Aside from the choices I mentioned above, Ristras also offers Chips & Nachos, Fajitas, Baja Style Fish Taco, Albondigas Soup, Enchilada, and Fish Taco Especiale. The menu isn't very extensive so I've pretty much enumerated all their food items already.

I recommend Ristras for group snacking so that you can share and order different food items. Cheese overload for lunch didn't really feel too good.
