We were lucky there were a lot of parking spaces outside Beijing Hand-Pulled Noodle's small place that night. I guess our little club was fated to come together somehow, haha. I ordered Dry Special Beef Noodles (P135, pictured above) as my main dish. This place specializes in delicious and chewy authentic hand-pulled, hand-made noodles -- it's just a matter of how you want it served. You can even watch them do the pulling. I was told that what I ordered is their bestseller. I loved the tender beef slices, tasty broth, and that dash of minced garlic. This dish is very flavorful without tasting artificial, so I'm pretty sure it's MSG-free.
Meanwhile, hubby opted for the Dry Braised Beef Noodles (P135, pictured above). The beef is served in big cubes instead of slices, but they're just as tender.
We also ordered Shucai Dumplings (P60 for 7 pieces, pictured above) on the side. You can have your dumplings either steamed or fried and we had ours steamed.
Shucai Dumplings are filled with shredded leeks for most part. They go so perfectly with the dumpling sauce which I'm certain is patis (Filipino fish sauce) based. The dumpling's outer covering is very chewy too. Yum!We love Beijing Hand-Pulled Noodle because it's delicious, very reasonably priced, and all natural! Right after our sumptuous meal, we crossed over to Serenitea. But that will be another blog post.
Looking forward to out next meeting, hehe!
