The incredibly sleek Sony Bravia NX series (pictured above) lets you enjoy streaming video straight off the internet. It also comes with Bravia Internet Widgets to let you configure and customize add-ons that will allow you to access the news, weather, stocks, and other information you'd want to have on hand in a click.
I actually got to see the Sony Bravia NX series in action during its launch in Boracay, and it was pretty impressive. Of course, the quality of the internet video is dependent on the quality of the download so it is still no match for Blu-Ray DVDs or HD (High Definition) TV. Still, if you're very much into YouTube or live webcasts, the Sony Bravia NX series would be the ultimate piece of equipment for you to enjoy them with.
Sony also unveiled their revolutionary Sony Bravia LX900, the first full HD 3DTV. In order to enjoy the eye-popping 3D effects, you'd have to wear powered 3D glasses (yep, there's actually a power switch).
I was able to actually try out the Sony Bravia LX900 at the launch and wow, if only I could've taken a photo of the 3D movie and video game that I sampled to share with everyone. You really feel that you're right there at the heart of the action. The good news is, Playstation 3 owners can enjoy 3D versions of their games via a simple firmware upgrade which you can download on the internet. You can also switch from 2D to 3D while watching your regular TV. Of course the 3D effect is much more spectacular if you view customized 3D content made for the Sony Bravia LX900 rather than converted regular programming. Sony Bravia LX900 will be out in the market mid-2010.
Sony Bravia LCD TVs are so incredibly clear it's hard not to get sucked into whatever it is they're playing. You can even see the crystal clarity through my photo above which I took using only a regular digicam. The 2010 Bravia Collection also features a new monolithic design concept which the Japanese refer to as Tatazumai. The TVs are slimmer, sleeker, and more optimally angled to give you maximum viewing pleasure while blending in seamlessly with the interiors of your room.
